Dutch Language Learning

UvA offers courses for various Dutch language levels.

Some other resources for self-learning:

  • Een Beetje Nederlands: a very nice podcast that introduces Dutch culture and history. The narrator talks slowly, and the content is easy to follow for people with A2-B1 level Dutch. Every episode has transcriptions (which is also very nice). You can listen to the podcast with the transcriptions.
  • NPO Start: free videos with various topics. If you like to watch videos, there are many series to watch on NPO Start. You will need to have B1-B2 level Dutch to be able to follow the content. Videos have captions.
  • Drie Onderwerpen in Makkelijke Taal: a YouTube channel with news videos from NOS Nieuws in easy language. The videos have captions and are suitable for people with A2-B1 level Dutch.
